What is the best skincare brand for dry, sensitive skin?
Posted in Skin Conditions by: adminJuly 12th, 2008
I have dry, sensitive skin and I occasionally also suffer from dry, sore patches of dermatitis on my face (which usually gets worse when the weather is freezing cold!)
I wondered what would be a good cleanser and moisturiser to try. I really like dermalogica because it is so good for skin sensitive to too many additives, but in the winter I need something a little richer because my cheeks get so dry!
I’m not fussed on price range, I just wondered if anyone had a similar problem and could recommend a miracle cream!
Thanks!

Natural Source Vitamin E cream with calendula. Recommended to me by the plastic surgeon who removed my skin cancer from my face several years ago - the scar is hardly noticeable now and my skin is peachy soft without being greasy It contains a natural sunscreen and calendula is a natural antiseptic to keep the spots at bay too. Bargain at around £5 from health food shops!

I loved Dermalogica till it left my skin too dry. I switched to Eve Lom cleanser, which is as good as everyone says, but after getting a mortgage last year had to find a cheaper option!
If you’ve got the money, try Eve Lom (you can get a starter kit for £25 to try it before you shell out -)
Otherwise, my new favourite is - believe it or not - Simple purifying cleanser. It leaves my skin soft and calm and has really helped my ezcema - and is really cheap!
For moisturiser, try the Eau Thermale Avène range (from some Boots stores and Google for online suppliers). They are fab and around £13 each. The range is massive so there is bound to be something soothing yet rich enough for your skin.

Aquaphor is good. Also a good healer and recommended by dermatalogists.

i just recently took my son to a dermatologist and they said to take vinegar and water on a towel soak then ring out with hands apply to the area five minutes in morning and night then use a fragrance free moisturizer and only to use dove for sensitive skin soap. this has been three weeks ago and my sons skin looks great i was really amazed after spending so much money on everything else then just a couple of dollars and it works.
