remove facial pores

Just curious. I have some blackheads, I heard facials were good for that. Are they more of a girls thing or do guys have facials too? What exactly do they do and how do they do it? Is the purpose of the facial to remove clogged pores? Is it relaxing and are there any side effects after?

If anyone who gives facials or has had one done could answer all things questions it would be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks!

Facials are for everyone. You just need to find a person that is qualified in working with skin such as yours. They first cleanse the face(using products for you special needs) they may exfoliate, then use a toner and then a special product again needed for you skin to keep the skin supple. I use to work as a facialist and have seen all kinds of skin. The best thing you can do for your face right now is start doing facials on a weekly/monthly basis. Some places will show you how to do it so you can do it at home. It may seem a lil costly to begin with along with buying the products, but DO YOUR SELF A FAVOR AND TREAT YOUR SKIN RIGHT IT IS GOING TO BE WITH YOU FOR A LONG TIME. Yes it is very relaxing!

Both females and males could get facials. The treatment involves steaming your face to open the pores and then putting on a face mask. Then they help you squeeze out your spots and blackheads. The process is quite painful and I always find that my blackheads come back though, no matter how clean they squeeze it out.

Both men and women have facials. They are great for your complexion, very relaxing and your skin feels rejuvenated afterwards. Blackheads are oils trapped beneath the pores. A facial opens the pores so your skin can breathe. The only side effect from a facial that I know of is just a bit of redness and that’s only on some people..

i’m an esthetician and i give facials to men and women on a daily basis. A facial is a relaxing experiance that normally takes a bit over an hour. the esthetician will give you a skin analysis and this will let her determine what your skin type is (oily, combination, dry or sensitive.) this will help her to pick the right products for your specific skin type for best results. She will cleanse your skin and you’ll get a nice face massage as she does that:) she’ll then remove the cleanser and apply toner to bring your skin PH blanace to where it should be. She will normally apply a mask that is very deep cleaning and relaxing and then remove it. She will do extractions of blackheads and whiteheads. She will give you an upper back, shoulder and neck massage and then apply a cream to hydrate your face. Depending on which facial you choose there may be some steaming involved to really open your pores for the treatment. It is extremely relaxing and the only “side effect” would be a tiny bit of a red face after from removing all the blackheads and whiteheads but that will fade within half an hour or less. The purpose of a facial is different for everyone as everyone has them to help them with different skin issues but a very common one is to clean clogged pores. I hope this information helps. I would definitely recommend getting one! good luck.

I own a medical spa and let me tell you, many men come in for facials. It’s a very good idea, especially if you have blackheads. Blackheads are an indication of clogged pores and if your skin isn’t properly cleansed those pores can get larger and larger. What you need is an extracting facial where the blackheads will be removed, your skin exfoliated to get rid of the dead top layer clogging your pores. The extraction part isn’t fun, but the rest of the facial is very relaxing.

You’ll be a little pink after and it will all calm down after moisturizes are applied. I would say that if you’re getting blackheads, monthly facials would be good for you. At home you should also exfoliate once a week and cleanse and tone every day.
