Smoking is the biggest cause of yellow fingernails. Other causes include poor nutrition and nail polish. Believe it or not, your nails need oxygen and vitamins to be healthy. Obviously, you need to eat a well balanced diet to get good vitamins (E and B especially for your nails). You may be surprised to learn that nail polish deprives nails of the oxygen they need. This can often cause them to yellow (also, some nail polishes dye your nails slightly). Try leaving off the nail polish for awhile or taking it off at night and reapplying in the morning if you must wear polish. Also, antibiotics can cause your nails to yellow.
Unfortunately you really just need to let your nails grow out the yellow. You can buy a nail cream to help restore your nails to their natural shape, but the yellow won’t go away once it is there. They should grow out in 8 weeks.

If its not smoking it could be from wearing polish for too long. Your nails may need to breathe. Also believe it or not I put whitening toothpaste on my nails sometimes and it works. I guess that Denture Cream for dentures should work also. I would try soaking my nails in it. Your teeth and nails are made of almost the same thing. Good luck
