I have done it for years for my husband. 1. You will need the following: Two aspirin or Excedrin to help the pain. A dish pan or a tub of warm sudsy water to soften your nails. Soak till they feel soft. 2. A cotton ball or a couple of q tips. (you just need a little cotton) 3. Something small and pointed to push the cotton under the corners of the nail. If you have any type of a cream pain killer, like orthogel or nesportin rub it gently on the problem areas and wait a minute or two to allow it to kill the pain. Now pull small strings of cotton off the ball or q tip and gently push it under the corners where it is ingrown. Pack them as full as possible. Do the corner of every painful toe. This levels up the toe nail and will allow the nail to grow out straight. NEVER CUT DOWN AT THE CORNERS. FILE STRAIGHT ACROSS ONLY. Leave the cotton in until the pain is gone and the nails have grown out a bit. 3 to 6 days. The cotton may just fall out after a few days. Good Luck. Don't waste your time going to the doctor because they grow back anyway. They also sell this stuff called "outgrow" they say it helps. Then in the future cut your nail square and don't cut the corners.
