HELP! Brittle nails!!!!!! What to do?

I have brittle nails and nothing helps! What foods should I eat? What products should i use? Anything?!!!!! Please help. I’ve had problem with brittle nails for over 6 months now!!!!!!!!

dont chew them or put on fake nails!!! they destroy them… also dont pick off old nail polish… it tears the top layer of ur nails off

I take calcium supplements, which seem to really help. There’s also a lot of nail polish and other nail treatments made for strengthening nails.

Drink lots of milk calcium helps to strenghten nails and also eat plenty of nuts

stop getting your nails done and put the strong er nail polish in stores. there not in high price

I used to have the same problem. If they didn’t break off from the slightest tap, then they split. A salesperson at Sally’s made a recommendation and it works. It’s called Nail Magic. It looks pink but goes on clear. (www.nailmagic.com) When you first start using it you have to apply it to clean nails twice a week. After 2 months, you switch to once a week. Sounds like a pain, but it does work.

Increase your calcium (milk and broccoli–I feel the tomatoes, wait!–dip it in some ranch dressing or put some cheese on it, another good source of calcium). Also, if you have it in your area try Sally Hansen’s “Hard As Nails”. It’s clear and, used about 2-3 times, really works. If you don’t have that product where you are, use almost any nail hardner–get the lady at the cosmetic counter where you buy nail polish, (or would if you don’t use it), to help you.

have you tried vitamins?
gelitin is suppose to work..
there are moisturizers for nails as well.

vaseline has a good hand lotion which strengtens nails also… use it, it’s only affordable
