dry and flaky scalp?
My son has a dry and flaky scalp in both sides of the head…Is this normal to a baby 3 months old? How you will get rid of them?

It’s probably just cradle cap. I was told to rub baby oil in my son’s hair and use on of those really soft bristle baby brushes and brush his hair. Even if you don’t do anything, eventually it will go away on it’s own.

yes its normal. baby oil to scalp and gently comb hair backwards and that will lift it.

Baby oil massaged into the scalp, and change the shampoo

You don’t really need to do anything, but if it bothers you, try shampooing more frequently and gently brushing your baby’s scalp with a soft brush or a terrycloth towel.
For stubborn cases, some parents find an oil remedy helpful. (The oil helps to loosen dry flakes.) If you want to give it a try, rub just a small amount of a pure, natural oil — such as almond or olive oil — on your baby’s scalp and leave it on for about 15 minutes. Then gently comb out the flakes with a fine-toothed comb or brush them out with a soft brush.
Be sure to follow up by washing your baby’s scalp with a gentle baby shampoo — the last thing you want to do is leave oil on his head, which could clog the pores and cause the flakes to stick. You might try leaving the shampoo on for a few minutes before rinsing, to help cut the oil.

Do not use soap on a baby’s head even if you have or have’nt,…it’s better to use baby shampoo. My wife would rub a little baby oil on her hand and massage it in the baby’s scalp and comb his beautiful hair and he is the Angel of my life and had no dry scalp.

it sounds like the start of cradel cap and you should treat it , my friend neglected her baby ’s scalp and it spread all over her little head and lasted 2 years ,crusty and flakey, poor baby! I say nip it in the bud, carefully shampoo with dandruff shampoo will clear it right up .But check with your doctor first. I’m just saying what has worked for my son.
