Try a different dandruff shampoo. Tar shampoo works well, but leaves you smelling funny. Head and Shoulders is actually pretty good, or Nizoral-usually prescription only, but I beleive they now have an over the counter one now

you need to keep a good hair process.. products from aveda and other all-natural brands work best but normal pharmacy products can sometimes work just as well. head and shoulders works well if your looking for a lower price. also, washing your hair more often then every other day can give you a dry scalp, therefore causing dandruff.
Hope this helps!

There is no permanent fix, but I use Head and Shoulders everyday, and it’s been working for me. Make sure to scrub deep (but gently) into your scalp to lift off the flakes. You may need to shampoo twice for the first few days in order to properly get rid of them. And always back up this method with a good conditioner (I use Bumble&Bumble, and it works wonders). Also, make sure to avoid a sunburn on your scalp - or anywhere, for that matter - as that will make you flake even more.
Best of luck!

you could always try the vinegar remedy. Or you can use the Burt’s bee shampoo( the grapefruit one)

You need to identify what’s the reason of your dandruff. It could be hormonal, it could be because of stress, dryness, overactive oil glands…..
I used a couple of dandruff shampoos with no success. Then I found out that my dandruff was the effect of my dry scalp caused by the heat of constant blow drying.
Then, I started using Head and Shoulders Dry Scalp Care shampoo AND conditioner.I began washing my hair every other day using BOTH products for almost two weeks. NO blow drying during that time. After that I use both products every time I’m gonna blow dry my hair. I haven’t seen dandruff on my head since then.

I hope you can fix it soon. Good luck

If you have dandruff you cant actually get rid of it, you have to use a medicated shampoo. Check out my article to see if you actually have dandruff or if its just dry scalp.

Dandruff shampoo’s tend to all have a different main active ingredients. You should switch between the active ingredients ( they will be written right on the front of the bottle). That is what my dermatologist told me.

I have suffered with dandruff for as long as I can remember but I have recently started using Vosene original and my dandruff has gone.
Don’t be put off by the yucky brown colour of the shampoo it is actually quite nice and lathers up really well, I have tried loads of different shampoos but this one works.

Short of getting a prescription for dandruff control, my MD wanted my daughter to try Selsun Blue shampoo. We were using Selsun, Head and Shoulders, and an antifungal all at the same time….her head was a mess. We stopped all but the Selsun , used it 3 times per week and conditined each time. Her scalp is much better now.

cut lemon into two and rub it over the scalp before you wash your hair… head and shoulders anti-dandruff is really good… it is little strong though….

Depends on how bad it is. You may have psoriosis a condition worse than your usual dandruff. You may check with a dermatologist in your area to determine what you’re dealing with. hope this helps! good luck!
