Hey im a 17 yr old girl and ever since i got my adult teeth through ive had lotsa problems with my teeth. Ive always looked after my teeth well but when i was 8 my front teeth got these yellowy stains on them from fluorosis poisoning. I got lots of taunts from people as my teeth looked dirty even though they werent. I now have porcelain veneers on my front teeth but i dont really like them as i think they look quite a bit bigger then my natural teeth:( i am hoping to become a model, ive had a couple of offers but im just so self concious about my teeth i dont know what to do to get them looking nice and white and well..normal! Got my teeth professionally whitened at the dentist’s office…a product called Zoom. My teeth had a typical yellow stain to them that occurs over time due to coffee and other foods, but nothing horrible. When they “whitened” them, what I got was a lighter ivory color!! Granted, it looks better, but is NOT the whiter color I see on others who have this done…even those who use the drugstore kits! Did I get a bad job done on my teeth?? I am considering using the kit I bought to continue this process. I am disappointed!! Tell me your experience!!

I had my teeth whitened by a dentist using BriteSmile. The results were off the chart: truly celebrity white! Then, that night (about 10 hours after treatment), I was out with my boss and had 4 light beers. I had been given a post-treatment care card that states, “Teeth have a protective layer called the protein pellicle. This layer contains the surface stains and is removed during treatment. It takes 12-24 hours for this barrier to fully develop again. During this period, avoid the items listed on the back of this card.” Although beer is not clear or white, it was NOT listed as a “Don’t” on this card. And, “Red Wine” IS listed as a “Don’t”, but white wine is NOT. Which led me to think that beer is OK. But when I saw my teeth in the mirror the next AM, they were streaked with pale tan stains! My dentist said “we’ll do what we can” and 2 days later he applied 2 more 20-min. sessions, to no avail! Since these stains occured without the “protein pellicle” in place, are they now permanent?

So I would like to get my teeth a little whiter….ever since I got my braces off the second time, they never really came out that white. Everytime I go to get my teeth cleaned they get clean, but not any whiter.
I don’t want to go to the dentist to get them whitened bc it’s cosmetic, expensive, and not covered by our insurance….and my mom would have to pay for it. I brush my teeth like twice a day, and whenever else they need to, so it’s not b/c I dont brush my teeth. It’s just the fact that I had my braces on twice and the second time I got them off they just did not come out as clean as before. I’ve tried multiple whitening toothpastes…and I know crest white strips work b/c i have tried those before also.
So what I was wondering was:
a) Is there a good whitening toothpaste out there that you have used and personally seen your teeth get whiter?
b)Any other product that is not too expensive that I can buy at the store.(Cheaper than crest white strips or off brand)

I got braces put on my teeth a couple years ago and my orthodontist was worried that when it came time to take them off, the places underneath the brace would be white but the rest of my teeth would be stained. So he made me stop drinking coke and told me not to eat chocolate.
However everyone else i know that has braces drinks coke and has chocolate and they’re in the same situation when it comes to staining.
Anyway, it’s been two years and a bit since they were put on and i haven’t had a coke since but i have had little bits of chocolate.
I guess i can say my teeth are a little whiter but i’m getting these little white blob like specks on my two front teeth. Does anyone know what they are and what kind of things cause them?

i want my teeth be really nice and white, but dont really want to buy bleech stuff or whatever its called. it there anything else i can do to my teeth to make them more white, aside from brushing my teeth? anything normal that you would also have at home or could get anywhere easily?

Mine is a gummy smile and teeth are bit overlap.Hence lots of cavities.Please advice on which is the best place ? india or Dubai?and where spedifically?

I read somewheres that something called Celebrity Sexy Teeth works better than all of the strips. It’s a paint-on gel. Anyone heard of it? And I’ve heard good things and bad things about Crest White Strips… Same with all the strips. I tan at Planet Beach & they sell a teeth whitener with a mouthguard you wear in the tanning bed. It is supposed to work like Zoom so they say. But isn’t that harmful with nothing protecting your gums? They put a protector on your gums with Zoom. Just looking for an alternative to paying $600+ at the dentist office!

Does it hurt to have your teeth professional whitened?

I have extremely sensitive teeth. I have to go back to the dentist because when I had my braces, my teeth weren’t taken care of like they should’ve been and I believe I may have a couple cavities now. Will they get rid of those before bleaching my teeth?
